In close collaboration with the RIMOWA team, 2x4 Beijing developed a series of assets for the brand’s 2025 Lunar New Year campaign under the theme “The Chain Reaction of Coming Home.” The campaign included animations, digital red envelopes, sticker packs, Year of the Snake luggage-tag stamps, and a festive gift set.

Rather than following the more familiar visual language of Lunar New Year campaigns, the animation adopted a distinctly local, childlike illustration style rooted in a warm and playful Chinese sensibility. Through a slightly clumsy and innocent visual language, the campaign told a series of tender, humorous everyday stories around the experience of returning home for the holiday. Each of the three chapters had its own focus, while remaining interconnected as part of a larger narrative.

I was responsible for Story One, the cat-centered chapter. This episode was inspired by the familiar love-hate relationship between cats and suitcases, drawing from the shared experiences of cat owners and the small dramas that unfold when packing to go home.
